This research aims to determine partially and simultaneously the effect
of insider ownership, institutional ownership, leverage, debt to equity ratio, and
collateralizable asset on dividend initiation policy. and to know partially and
simultaneously the effect of ownership structure and capital structure on dividend
initiation policy.
The population of this research was all the firms that listed at
Indonesia Stock Exchange of 2007-2011 period namely 307 in number and 41
sample was taken by the use of purposive sampling method. The method of data
collection used was documentation and theoritical review. The data analysis
made use of multiple linear regression method.
The results showed that partially and simultaneously of insider
ownership, institutional ownership, leverage, debt to equity ratio, and
collateralizable asset is not significant on dividend initiation policy. Ownership
structure partially affect significant negative on dividend initiation policy. capital
structure partially not significant on dividend initiation policy. ownership
structure and capital structure simultaneously not significant on dividend
initiation policy.
