Abstract

The aim of this research to compare the performance of Islamic Banks and
Conventional Banks base on financial ratio. The samples in this research are 27
Conventional Banks and 3 Islamic Banks. The method used in taking samples is
purposive sampling, and analysis method used Mann-Whitney test, wiht level of
significant (α) 0,05.
The result indicates there are diference betwen Islamic Banks and
Conventional Banks from CAR and FDR ratio, while on NPF, ROA and BOPO there
are not significant diference. Islamic Banks better than Conventional Banks from
ROA, FDR and BOPO ratio, while Conventional Banks better than Islamic Banks
from CAR and NPF.
