Abstract

This study entitled "The Effect of Civic Education in Adolescent Delinquency Managing Behavior in School located at SMP Negeri 2 Ajibarang. The problem of juvenile delinquency, particularly school-age youth or teenagers who are attending school is not only troubling parents and community, but also disturbing the teachers at the school. Student misbehavior is not only a matter for parents and the community alone. But it is also a problem for the school, since the school as an institution of formal education is considered the most responsible for the outcomes of education including the character of a child (student). Subject in this study were: (1) How does the implementation of Citizenship Education lessons in tackling juvenile delinquency in school?, (2) What are the barriers that teachers face in tackling the Citizenship Education juvenile delinquency in school?, (3) How does the teacher attempts Citizenship Education in tackling juvenile delinquency in schools? This study aims to determine how the implementation of Citizenship Education lessons in tackling juvenile delinquency in the schools, to the barriers faced by teachers Citizenship Education in tackling juvenile delinquency in schools, to find out how Citizenship Education teacher effort in tackling juvenile delinquency in schools. Data collection techniques is by way of observation, interviews, and documentation study. Meanwhile, a descriptive analysis of qualitative data. The results showed that: (1) the implementation of Citizenship Education lessons in tackling juvenile delinquency in schools, Citizenship Education teachers provide a model and example and advice to students to have good manners, (2) the barriers faced Citizenship Education teachers in tackling juvenile delinquency in schools include: the parents are not open to the school if students do mischief, parents tend to defend their children, parents are not too much importance on student misbehavior at school, (3) the efforts of civic education teachers in tackling juvenile delinquency in schools, among others , civic education teachers perform personal approaches with students is by sharing.
