This research entitled "Improving Listening Ability News Through
Cooperative Learning Methods Numbered Heads Together (NHT) in Grade VIII A
MTs. Muhammadiyah Merden Banjarnegara regency 2011/2012".
General purpose of this research was to describe the ability to listen to the
news of Grade VIII A in MTs. Muhammadiyah Merden Banjarnegara regency and
specifically aims to describe the improvement of learning outcomes derived class VIII
A MTs. Muhammadiyah Merden Banjarnegara regency with the implementation of
Cooperative Learning Methods Numbered Heads Together type (NHT) as well as
changes in attitudes and behaviors of students in learning.
This researh uses classroom action research design is done in two stages,
namely Cycle I and Cycle II. The subjects were students of class VIII A MTs.
Muhammadiyah Merden Banjarnegara Regency. Data collection in this research using
a test technique and nontes. Instrument in the form of tests and observation sheets.
Data analysis in this research include quantitative and qualitative data.
The results showed that after following the method of learning to listen news
Numbered Heads Together (NHT) the average value of class VIII A MTs.
Muhammadiyah Merden Banjarnegara Regency has increased well. At this stage of
pre-test average only 68.4 students to 54.5% the percentage of mastery learning and
action cycle I average value increased to 75.6 with the percentage of students achieved
69.6% completeness. Furthermore, in the second cycle the average value increased
student better percentage is 84.3 with 84.4% achieving mastery learning. Changes in
attitude and behavior of class VIII A MTs. Muhammadiyah Merden Banjarnegara
Regency showed positive changes, students are more interested and enthusiastic in
learning listening story using Numbered Heads Together (NHT).
