Abstract
The aims of the research were: (1) to know whether there is a correlation between kinesthetic learning style and English achievement on the eleventh grade students of SMA N 1 Maos, academic year 2009/2010; (2) to know whether kinesthetic learning style give impact towards English achievement on the eleventh grade students of SMA N 1 Maos, academic year 2009/2010
The data was taken on March 2010, at the eleventh grade students of SMA N 1 Maos. The sample was 36 students. The instruments used for collecting the data were questionnaire, document, and interview. Meanwhile, English achievement data was taken from the document of English examination.
The results of the research reveal that:
1. The numbers of kinesthetic students at eleventh grade students of SMA N 1 Maos were 36 students or around 12.6%.
2. The mean of English achievement score of kinesthetic students was 69.42 (good). It showed that there was good effect of kinesthetic learning style toward English achievement.
3. The computation data showed that there was a positive correlation between kinesthetic learning style and English achievement at eleventh grade students of SMA N 1 Maos. It could be identified from the result of product moment correlation that has positive value (+0.296713).
