This research aimed to describe Ann Veronica’s rebellion against her father’s
dominations that are portrayed in H.G.Wells’

. The method of the
research is
qualitative descriptive using objective approach through Freudian
psychoanalytical theory. The primary data were taken form the narrations and
dialogues, while the secondary data from the novel, essays, journals, and other
documents related to the problems. The research result
ed that Ann’s desires
mostly deals with education, social relationship, and marriage, which have been
unfortunately blocked by her father’s domination. To realize her desires, she
rebutted her father and escaped from his domination. At last, the psychoanalytical
theory has really contributed to give a character self-
defense to achieve one’s
desires
