This research aimed to compare financial performance between conventional and islamic cooperative in the year of 2011-2013 in Banyumas regency. The analyzed aspects were capital aspect, eficiency aspect, liquidity aspect, autonomy and growth aspect, and aspect of cooperative identity.
The populations were the cooperatives situated in Banyumas. Based on the found sample criteria, there were two groups of research samples, five conventional cooperatives and seven islamic ones.
The result showed that there was differences financial performance between conventional and islamic cooperatives if it was based on capital aspects and cooperative identity.
