This research aims to prove the influence of managerial ownership,
institutional ownership and dividend policy simultaneously or partially on debt
policy. Population in this study using mining companies listed on the Indonesia
Stock Exchange during the period from 2007 -2011. The sampling method used is
purposive sampling.
Method used is multiple regression significance (α = 5%), and hypothesis
testing using the F test to test the simultaneous effect and t-test to test partially.
These results of this showed managerial ownership, institutional ownership
and dividend policy simultaneously significant effect on debt policy. Partially,
dividend policies significantly influence the policy of debt policy. While for the
managerial ownership and institutional ownership, showed no effect on the debt.
