Abstract

The aim of this research was to find out the effectiveness of time token
arrend
s in teaching speaking at the eighth grade students of SMP D
iponegoro 8
Rawalo. In academic year 2014/2015.
This research used experimental method. it was carried out at the class
VIIIa and VIII b of SMP Diponegoro 8 Rawalo in academic year 2014/2015. The
population was 112 students of four classes. The data collection technique used
spea
king test. To analyzed data, the writer used t-test.
The
result showed that control class from 1473 to 1935 and the
improvement was 462/(16,6%) and the experiment class from 1489 to 2127 and
the improvement was significant 638( 22.78%) was concluded that the
improvement of experiment class was higher than control class (22.78% >
16.50%). The computation showed that (2.828>2.005) t-test was higher than t-
table. It means that the hypothesis was accepted and it can be stated that time
token arrend was effective in teaching speaking at the eighth grade studen
ts
of
SMP Diponegoro 8 Rawalo Banyumas
, in academic year 2014/2015.
