Abstract
This final assignment was aimed to find out the yield strength of concrete brick
with eggshell waste as added material reviewed from yield strength, water absorption,
and external view test as well as best composition determination from three
composition. Research stages covered: model planning and object test composition
based on ratio (1Pc:8Ps:10%LCT ; 1Pc:8Ps:20%LCT ; 1Pc:8Ps:30%LCT; and
1Pc:8Ps as control). Data analysis technique used quantitative descriptive method
and under condition of SNI 03-0349-1989.
The average result of the tests were as follows: a) average yield strength for
each composition consecutively 39,30 kg/cm², 41,34 kg/cm², and 37 kg/cm². Each
belongs to quality requirement III, II, III; b) water absorption for each composition
was 20,6%, 19,5 %, and 22,3% that fit the quality requirements was composition II
with quality level of B70; c) Dimension deviation I 0,33 mm, 0,13 mm, 0,12 mm; II
0,23 mm, 0,14 mm, 0,19 mm; III 0,23 mm, 0,2 mm, 0,13 mm. the result fit the quality
requirements; d). Composition 1Pc:8Ps:20% LCT was the best composition based on
SNI quality requirement with yield strength on quality II, water absorption B70, and
dimension deviation 0,23 mm, 0,14 mm, 0,19 mm.
