This research aimed at knowing whether there was significant correlation between
learning motivation and civic learning result of the VII graders SMP
Muhammadiyah 3 Purwokerto in odd semester academic year 2014/2015. The
research was survey research with quantitative approach and analytic method. The
population was the VII graders of SMP Muhammadiyah 3 Purwokerto. The
sample consisted of four classes taken by random sampling. The Taro Yamane
and Slovin were used as a sampling technique which continued with lottery to
define the respondent. The trials respondent was taken from the population of the
research not the sample. The data collection technique for learning motivation
variable (X) used questionnaire and for civic learning result variable (Y) used
documentary method. The data was analyzed with product moment statistic
analysis and linier regression analysis. The result of this research showed that
was 0,721 for correlation variable X and variable Y. The result of the
calculation showed that was bigger from 5% significance level table which
was 0,444. The correlation between variabel X and variable Y was said strong
with the contribution magnitude of the X to Y wich was 51,98 %. Therefore, the
result could be said that there was significant correlation between learning
motivation and civic learning result of the VII graders SMP Muhammadiyah 3
Purwokerto in odd semester academic year 2014/2015.
