The research’s aim was to identify the grade of parent’s prosperity and interest in
giving children’n higher schooling for tofu industrialist at Karangmoncol village,
Randudongkal sub-district, Pemalang regency.
Method of research was descriptive quantitative. 34 paterfamilias of tofu
industrialists, whose elementary to secondary level children was as the population
of research. Data gathering was by questionnaire of parent’s prosperity and
interest in giving children schooling, and documentation. Data analysis was by
product moment correlation.
The research showed that the grade of parent’s prosperity and interest in giving
children’s higher schooling for tofu industrialist at Karangmoncol village was in
level II prosperity or about 10 participants (29,4%) , level III prosperity was
about 20 participants (58,81%), and level III plus was 4 participants (11,76).
There was a correlation between the grade of parent’s prosperity and interest in
giving children’s higher schooling for tofu industrialist at karangmoncol village,
randudongkal sub-district, pemalang regency. It meant that higher parent’s
prosperity becomes higher interest in giving children’s higher schoolinh.
