Abstract

Various researches on cement have been done to improve its quality. The faster
development of district, the more material it needs. It cause more location to dig natural
substance such and sands. Therefore, the sands quality that mostly used in that area
should be known. This research analyzes the strength of cement pressure used soft
aggregate from different sand depot.
This research aimed to know the cement pressure strength used soft aggregate
from Banyumas River and Adipala River. The test instruments were made of variation
of soft aggregate from different location Kaliori village sand depot in Serayu River and
Gombol village sand depot in Adipala with same proportion. The test instrument were
cylinder diameter 150 mm and height 300 mm as many as 20 samples consist of 10
samples for each sands variation. The cement samples tested in age 7 for 10 samples (5
variation of Banyumas and variation of Adipala) and other tested in 14th days with
conversion table of SNI, the predicted cement quality was 20 Mpa in 28th days.
The research used Serayu sands of Banyumas in 7th days was 14,225 Mpa, so
the approximation strength in 28 days was 20,321 Mpa and 14th days was 17,965 Mpa
so the approximation on 28th days was 20,415 Mpa. However the pressure strength of
cement used Serayu of Adipala in 7th days was 11,988 Mpa, and in 14th days was 15,667
Mpa so the approximation strength in 28th days was 17,804 Mpa. From that result, it
can be seen that cement with sand from Serayu river of Banyumas has stronger
pressure than Adipala.
