Abstract
According to the study of Rao (2014) states that beet(Beta vulgaris) have
antibacterial activity in the minimum inhibitory concentration(MIC) of 5mg/ml
against Bacillussubtilis, Pseudomona saeruginosa and Escherechia coli while the
minimum inhibitory concentration of0.5 mg/ml again st Enterobacte raerogenes.
MIC rosella flower ethanol extract against Escherichiacoli, Salmonella typhy and
Stapylococcus aureus 0.20mg/ml. This type of research is experimental in a way
to test the antimicrobial activity of the extracts of the fruit bits, rosella flower
extracts and herbal products Y. MIC measurements performed with visible
turbidity after incubation. Parameters measured were produced inhibition zone
diameter fruit extract bits for the bacteria E.coliat a concentration of 250ug/ml,
50pg/ml with each – each averaging 8.9mm and 6.8mm, while the S.aureus
bacteria can not be inhibits the growth of baketri, rosella flower extract result
sobtained inhibition zone on bacteri E.coli and S.aureus at a concentration of 500
ug/ml, 250 pg/ml, 100 pg/ml can inhibit the growth of bacteria and herbal
products konsentrsi Y at 60% and 50% can inhibit the bacteria E.coli and
S.aureus. Data analysis was performed with Varian Analysis test(ANOVA) test
followed by Least Significant Different(LSD) with aconfidence level of 95%.
Concentrate onthe positive control bits concentration has significant difference to
all concentration, and the concentration of 100 ug/ml to 250 pg/ml had no
significant difference. As for rosella have significant differences in all the extract
concentration.
