Abstract

Background : Tuberculosis has become a global health problem for the world
community and it’s meaning the necessary handling of accurate and
comprehensive to provide the right services at the patient's. In the application of
anti-tuberculosis medicines often found side effects medication (ESO), which can
cause Hepatotoxicit.
Object : This study was aimed to examine whether the effect hepatotoksik raised
in patients with TB who consume medicines anti-tuberculosis after treatment for 2
months.
Methods : The material used in this study were the medical records of patients of
tuberculosis at Balai Kesehatan Paru Masyarakat Purwokerto number of 80
patients consisting of 40 case patients and 40 control patients. Type of
observational study using survey methods with cross sectional analytic, that
variables which include the risk factors and variables which include the effects
observed at the same time at the same time using the independent t test.
Result : Hepatotoxic effects in tuberculosis patients is measured by increased
AST of 8.97 (p <0.05), whereas the lower ALT increase in the amount of 10.00 (p
<0.05). This means that the treatment of tuberculosis can enhance AST and ALT
levels in patients. However, elevated levels of AST and ALT are still below the
tolerance limit of 40 U / L so that the treatment of tuberculosis in at Balai
Kesehatan Paru Masyarakat Purwokerto is not proven to cause hepatotoxic.
