Abstract

Introduction : Self-medication is an attempt to treat all complaints to yourself
with medicines bought from pharmacies or drug stores on their own initiative
without the advice of a doctor. Behavior of drug use by patients is strongly
influenced by the level of information received by the patient regarding the use of
drugs.
Method: This study is a type of quantitative and descriptive study of data taken
with the way the questionnaire.
Result : The study found the sudanly of respondents 42.0% rarely do their own
treatment if the distance where the flu and stayed with a source of drug
information as far as 1 to less than 3 km which is about (35.8%)
Conclusion : There is the influence distance of residence with information
sources influence the pattern of drug self-medication in Banyumas region.
