This research aimed to reveal the welfare rate of the Jasminum
multiflorum farmer families in Penaruban village, Bukateja sub-district,
Purbalingga regency.
The research method was survey. The data were collected through
interviews about their welfare, particularly about their income, house condition,
living facilities, health, offspring education, and personal vehicles. The population
were 67 of the owner and the cultivatorof jasmine gambir. This research
implemented total sampling technique to select the subjects that the number were
67 farmers. The data were then analyzed using descriptive qualitative technique.
The findings indicated that the agriculture activities of Jasminum
multiflorum in Penaruban village, Bukateja sub-district, Purbalingga regency was
profitable for the farmers more or less could earn a monthly income of 1.109.400
ruphiahs. The total numbers of the Jasminummultiflorum farmers in high welfare
condition were 52 farmers (78%), with the following criteria: staying in a
permanent house, having complete household facilities, having good health
condition, sending their kids to colleges, riding motorcycles. Those who were
categorized into average welfare families were 15 farmers (22%), having
following criteria: staying in a semi-permanent house, household fasilities were
less complete (not having fun and firewood), having poor health condition, and
having bicycles for transportation.
