Abstract

The aim of this reseach has to improve the students understanding of notice by using Roundtable technique.The data was taken on 10 November 2015 at MTs Ma’arif NU 14 Jingkang. The subjects of the research were 25 students. The method used was classroom action research. There were three kinds of data gathering. The test was used to measure the students’ progress in understanding of notice by using Roundtable technique. The observation was used to know the students’ activity during teaching and learning process. The questionnaire was used to know the students’response toward the implementation of Roundtable technique in understanding of notice. After the data has been analyzed, it was found that Roundtable technique could improve the students’ understanding in notice and make the students active in learning process. It could be seen from the result of improvement post-test 1 up to post-test 2. The improvement was 31.40%. While the indicator of success was 20%. The observation also showed that the students were interest and active in learning notice by using Roundtable technique. It could be seen from the mean of all indicators which was 61%. The result of the questionnaire also showed that the precentage of the students’ response was 93% toward the implementation of Roundtable technique. It was concluded that Roundtable could improve the students’ understanding of notice.
