Abstract

This study entitled Comparison Register Beauty in Beauty Femina
magazine and tabloid edition January-February 2016 and Implications in
Indonesian Language Learning in Vocational High School. The purpose of this
study was to describe the similarities and differences in the use of registers
contained in the cosmetic field Femina magazine and tabloid Beauty Edition
January-February 2016 and describe the implications of the results of research in
learning Indonesian in SMK.
This research was descriptive qualitative. The data in this study is a
register field of beauty contained in Femina magazine and Beauty tabloid Edition
January-February 2016. The data source of this research is the Femina magazine
and tabloid Beauty in January-February this 2016. This reserach was divided into
three stages, namely (1) the stage the data provision, (2) the data analysis stage,
and (3) the stage of presentation of data analysis result. At the stage of providing
data, it used tapping technique using advncetechique of free scrutiny including
conversation followed by recording technique and classify them. Furthermore, at
the stage of data analysis, it used referential synonymous method with continued
by Segment Elements Determinants (PUP). At the stage of presentation of the
results of data analysis, it used informal methods of presentation.
The results of this study found some similarities and differences in the
field of beauty registers on Femina magazine and Beauty tabloid in January-
February 2016. There are the similarities and differences on registers in beauty
field n terms of hair care and skin care. The equation can be seen from the use of
the same register for the same meaning, and the use of different registers for the
same meaning. The results of the research can be developed into instructional
materials in Indonesian subjects in vocational programs expertise of beauty, in
accordance with the basic competencies to be achieved, namely to understand the
structure and rules of text exposition through both oral and written, and can
produce exposition text coherent accordance with the characteristics of the text
which will be made either orally or in writing.
