The primary purpose of this study is to find out students‟ perception toward
grammar of eight semesters of English Department, Teacher Training and Education
of Muhammadiyah University of Purwokerto. This is a descriptive research
conducted using semi-structured questionnaire which contain twenty item with two
responses: clear (multiple choices) and free response (essay). The subject of this
study is 60 students from 133 eight semesters academic year 2015/2016. To analyze
the data the researcher used statistial description and qualitative analysis. The result
shows that all students (100%) have positive perception toward grammar.
