Abstract
ARI are always in the first ranks cause of death in groups of infants and toddlers in
Indonesia. The mortality survey conducted by the ISPA Sub-Directorate in 2015 puts
ARI as the biggest cause of infant mortality in Indonesia with a percentage of
22.30% of all under-five mortality. In 2007 there were an estimated 1.8 million
deaths from pneumonia or about 20% of the total 9 million linkages in children.
Based on the results of Riskesdas in 2013, the incidence of national ISPA prevalence
in Indonesia is 25.0%. The highest population characteristics with ARI occur in the
age group 1-4 years (25.8%). Based on health profile data in Banyumas District,
health centers of Baturraden 2 for the last 3 years was ranked the top 5 percentage of
ARI cases in under five, and each year increased. This study aims to determine the
use of antibiotics in Patients with ARD of Outpatient at health centers of Baturraden
2 in 2017 have been rational and have fulfilled the standard of Acute Respiratory
Infection Control Guideline according to Ministry of Health 2012. This type of
research is non-experimental Descriptive Numeric. In this study the number of
respondents who obtained 50 people. Of the 50 respondents who were diagnosed
with outpatient ARD in health centers of Baturraden 2 from February - March 2017,
50 cases (100%) were accurate, 13 cases (26%) had proper medication, 50 cases
(100%) patients, and 50 cases (100%) have rational treatment. The most widely used
antibiotics are cotrimoksazole as many as 39 cases (78%) and amoxicillin as many as
11 cases (22%). So according to the standard of Infectious Disease Control
Guidelines for Infectious Diseases according to the Ministry of Health in 2012 the
treatment has been rational.
