Abstract
The research aimed to figure out type of weed extract resulting the best effect to inhibit weed growth in the lettuce crops, to know the best weed extract concentration to inhibit weed growth in the lettuce crops, and to figure out the intraction between reed extract and nut grass with best concentration variation for inhibiting weed growth in lettuce crops.
The research was conducted in Lemahjaya Village, Sub-district of Wanadadi, Banjarnegara Regency, from November 2016 until January 2017. The research using Completely Randomized Design (RAL) with 2 treatment factors, including weed extract factor (E) consisted of reed extract (E1) and the nut grass extract (E2) and concentration factor (K) consisted of 0% concentration (K0), concentration 10% (K1), concentration 20% (K2), concentration 30% (K3), each repeated 3 times.
The results shows that giving extract weed had significant effect on the number of weeds, whereas the treatment of weed extract concentration had significant effect on weed weight. The interaction between weed extract and weed extract concentration had significant effect on weed weight. Treatment of weed extract and weed extract concentration had no significant effect on growth and yield of lettuce plant. Kind of extract weed had a significant effect on variabel of weed number, the best weed extract on nut grass weed extract with weed number of 7.25 per polybag. Weed extract concentration had significant effect on weed weight, 200g/l (K2) result lightest weed number of 1.19 g. The interaction of weed extract and concentration had significant effect on weed weight, the treatment combination of E2K1 (100g/l) result on the lightest weed weights of 0.24 g.
