Abstract

Each year in Indonesia, millions of women experience unwanted pregnancies, and
most of these women choose to terminate their pregnancies, although in reality
abortions are generally illegal. The first step taken by women who experience an
unwanted pregnancy is to consume drugs or take herbal medicine to launch
menstruation. Drugs used to abort the contents of Misoprostol. Misoprostol causes
uterine contractions so that the contents of the womb are thrown out. This study
aims to measure the level of use, knowledge, attitudes, and behavior of
commercial sex workers against drug abortion in the Localization Gang Sadar
Baturraden Banyumas. The type of research used is non experimental descriptive.
With the method of taking data using questionnaires. Based on the results of the
use of drug abortion of 83 respondents, only 4 respondents who had used drugs
containing misoprostol to abort the womb. Knowledge of good abortion drug
(12,0%), knowledge enough (44,6%), and knowledge less (43,4%). Attitudes and
behavior towards positive abortion drugs (27.7%), neutral attitudes and behavior
(71.1%), negative attitudes and behavior (1,2%). Conclusions: Most commercial
sex workers working in the localization of Gang Sadar Baturraden of Banyumas
Regency do not abuse drugs for abortion. Knowledge of obstetric drugs can be
said to be sufficient. Attitudes and behaviors against abortion drugs are neutral
content.
