Abstract

Rainfall can be one of the factors that make onion farming production
increased or decreased, because onion is a plant that needs water in its growth.
The purpose of this study was to figure out how big the effect of rainfall pattern
toward the onion production in the village.The methods used in this study were
questionnaire and documentation. Population and sample of the study were the
rainfall within 2010-2015 and onion farming production within 2010-2015, and
93 farmers from farmer groups in Larangan. Data of the study were analysed
through Pearson product Moment Correlation. Results of this study showed that
the score obtained from the computation was 0.792. It indicated that there was a
positive correlation between rainfall pattern and onion production, rainfall
contributes 62.2% and other 37.8% was determined by other factors such as
fertilizer, irrigation, etc.
