Abstract

This study examined the correlation between students’ self-efficacy and their writing proficiency and identified what factors of self-efficacy influenced high and low self-efficacy students. This research belonged to correlational survey study. The participant of this study was the fourth semester students of essay writing class of English Education Department of Teacher Training and Education Faculty in academic year 2016/2017. The number of sample was 33 participants. The technique utilized in this study was simple random technique. Data for this study were collected through questionnaire, interview, and test. The data were analysed by using Pearson’s correlation statistics. The result indicated that
