Abstract

On electrical system prediction is necessary to estimate precisely how much
electrical energy is needed to serve the load and energy will need in the
distribution of electrical energy in the future. The purpose of this research is to
know the amount of electrical energy consumption and to know the value of
energy elasticity in the region of PT. PLN Rayon Purwokerto 2015-2020. The
method used in this research is using LEAP (Long-range Energy Alternative
Planning System) with BAU (Business As Usual) scenario. The result of analysis
and simulation obtained by total energy consumption equal to 417.7 GWh
increased to 61.4 GWh in 2020. The result of energy elasticity calculation for
Purwokerto by comparing the average of growth of electric energy consumption
equal to 7.7% with the average of economic growth (GDP) of 4.8%, so the value
of energy elasticity is 1.6.
