Abstract

The right irrigation channel of Kedunglimus Arca flows through rice fields
of 471.49 ha. The available water debit in the channel is 0.73177 m3/s, but not all
the paddy areas got the water. This study aimed to find out the effectiveness of the
main and right secondary irrigation channels of D.I Kedunglimus Arca. This study
was conducted through collecting data obtained from Department of Public
Works, Water Resources Management Center of Serayu Citanduy Purwokerto and
Water Resources and Highways Agency of Purwokerto. These data included
rainfall and cropping pattern. The effectiveness calculation was done by
comparing planned debit and the existing debit producing the effectiveness score
of irrigation channels. The result of water demand analysis at intake was 1.92
m3/dt whereas the result of the existing debit calculation on the irrigation
channels were: the main channel got 0.73177 m3/dt, the The right Arca channel
got 0.4643 m3/dt and Balekambang channel got 0.31498 m3/dt. The result of the
planned debit calculation on the irrigation channels were: the main channel got
1.92 m3/dt, the right Arca channel got 1.34 m3/dt and Balekambang channel got
0.58 m3/s. The results of the effectiveness analysis of the right main and
secondary irrigation channels of D.I Kedunglimus Arca were 38.23 and 33.58%
and the Secondary Balekambang got 55.17%.
