Abstract

Purbalingga is located at basin area surrounded by mountains. The north sides are surrounded by Slamet Mountain and Dieng plateau. The south side is Serayu depression (basin); there are two large rivers, Serayu riverand its tributary named Pekacangan river. The west side of the regency area, around 21 km of its east side, is Purwokerto. Purbalingga regency as Perwira city is famous of its thousand waterfalls, because there are many waterfalls located in this regency. However many of tourism spots were not promoted and advertised optimally, so it caused lack of tourism visits. The Android-based information of tourism spots of Purbalingga Regency was developed to maximize the process of tourism advertising or information broadcasting to public. The application used web-service technology, so the tourism information would be always up-dated. Location-based service was also installed on the application; iteases the app users to visit the tourism locations.
