Abstract

The habit of drinking herbs is found in many Javanese communities both
in pregnant and post-natal women and childbirth. According to research of
Paryono and Ari Kurniarum in Kajoran Village South Klaten in 2014 there are
about 33 people (82,5%) drinking herbal medicine every day and 6 people (15%)
consuming herbs 2 times a day and 1 (2.5%) consuming herbs Once a week after
childbirth. The purpose of this study is to measure knowledge, use, attitude and
behavior of mothers in using herbal medicine after childbirth. This study included
descriptive research type by way of distributing questionnaires to respondents and
accidental sampling data collection methods from postpartum mothers who came
to Puskesmas at the time of Posyandu and Imunisasi. Based on the results
obtained that the knowledge of respondents is enough 33 respondents (58.9%),
good use of 25 respondents (44.6%), positive attitude as much as 47 respondents
(83.9%), and good behavior 35 respondents (62.5%). Based on these results can
be concluded that the knowledge of post-partum mothers who drink enough herbal
medicine, while the use, attitude, and behavior of postpartum mothers who drink
herbal medicine has been good.
