Abstract
Herb Centella asiatica (Centella asiatica) has a flavonoid that is
efficacious as an antioxidant and antiaging. Centella asiatica herb (Casiatica)
has low solubility in water so it has an effect on bioavailability value. Centella
asiatica herbs formulated in the Self-Nano Emulsifying Drug Delivery System
(SNEDDS) are expected to increase the bioavailability value. The purpose of this
research is to get the composition of SNEDDS optimum formula using d-Optimal
design. The independent variables used are concentration of oil, surfactant, and
cosurfactant. Dependent variables were emulsification time, percent
transmittance, and DE 15. The optimum formula of SNEDDS consisted of 30%
labrafil, 80% labrasol: tween 20 (1: 1), and 80% PEG 400. The response result of
the optimum formula for emulsification time was 0, 4422, for the value of the
transmittance percentage is 99.374, and for DE 15 is 10.431. The approximate
value of the response did not differ significantly with the value of the experimental
results for the emulsification time and the transmittance percent, and has a
significantly different value for the DE 15 response test.
