Abstract
This research aimed to describe adaptive thinking skill viewed from
mathematical disposition of the eleventh grade students of SMA Negeri Wangon on
composition function and invers function material. This research employed
qualitative method using Miles and Huberman model including data reduction, data
display, and verification/conclusion drawing. The data were taken from students of
XI Science 5. The subject was obtained using purposive sampling technique which
students were categorized into students with low, average, and high mathematical
disposition. Each category has 3 students for this research. The data collection were
taken from questionnaire, test, interview, and documentation. The results reveal that
students who have low mathematical disposition do not reach the indicator of
adaptive thinking skill, students who have average mathematical disposition have
not reached the indicator of adaptive thinking skill, while for students who have
high mathematical disposition has reached the indicator of adaptive thinking.
