Abstract
Asthma is a disease that requires long-term therapy patient compliance
and therefore highly recommended for therapeutic efficacy. Factors that influence
the level of compliance of drug use consists of knowledge, attitudes, and
perceptions. The purpose of this study is to describe and identify factors - factors
that most influence on the level of compliance of the use of asthma medications in
outpatients in hospitals Banjar Patroman. This study is the analytic research with
cross sectional design with observational data retrieval methods. Data retrieval as
much 62 respondents. These three independent variables visible influence on the
use of asthma medication adherence. Through the findings, it seemed that the
three independent variables that affect adherence use asthma medication in
outpatients in hospitals Banjar Patroman, the variable most influential factor is the
knowledge of (0.00) In Indonesia asthma, including the top ten causes of
morbidity and mortality, it is drawn from the data Study Household Health Survey
(Household) in various provinces in Indonesia. According to data from the report
of the Global Initiative for Asthma (GINA) in 2012 stated that the estimated
number of people with asthma worldwide is three hundred million people, with
the number of deaths continues to increase up to 180,000 people per year. Asthma
is a chronic inflammatory airway disease characterized by episodic wheezing,
coughing and tightness in the chest due to blockage of the airway. Compliance is
an attitude to maintain and adhere to the rules of doses of the drug to a disease
And the attitude factor of (0.04). Both of these variables have significance value
<0.05, which means that these variables influence the use of asthma medication
adherence.
