Abstract

Javanese script is one of our ancestral cultural heritage, especially Javanese tribe. This
application is made because it feels important to preserve the culture of our ancestor language is
Javanese script. The purpose of this study is (1) Changing the way conventional learning into a way of
learning simulations with educational game applications. (2) Developing an educational game that is
able to make student interest back or interested in Javanese language subjects.
See the reality as well as some problems that arise need to be done a form of innovation in
learning Javanese script in SD Negeri 01 Sampang in the form of educational game Javanese script
Based Android. This educational game is expected to improve students learning motivation and make it
easier for students to understand the material.
System development method used in this research is Luter method with reference to multimedia
development methodology of Luter-Sutopo version. According to Luter (1994) multimedia development
method consists of 6 stages: concept, design, collecting material, assembly, testing and distribution.
The results of the research note that: based on the alpha test results that in the Java-based
educational games android android there is no process error and functionally release the results in
accordance with the expected. Based on the results of beta testing of 16 respondents calculated by Likert
scale obtained index of 88.12%, so that including the category strongly agree.
