The aims of this research were to observe (1) the farming cost of the red pepper’s
cultivation, (2) the farmers’ incomes in cultivating the red peppers, (3) the
economic rentability of red pepper’s farming.
This research was conducted from June 20, 2012 up to July 19, 2012 at Desa
Limpa Kuwus. The method of this research was survey method, which was
using a simple random sampling technique. The total samples were 15 farmers.
The method for analyzing the feasibility of farm management of red pepper
cultivation was qualitative and quantitative analysis.
The results of the research indicated that (1) the cost of red pepper’s farming was
Rp 6.400.000 per unit or this was equal to Rp 61.600.000 per hectare, (2) the
average income of the famer was Rp. 3.300.000 per unit which was equal to Rp.
31.700.000 per hectare,(3) the average economic rentability was 54%, this meant
that every Rp 100 of farming capital, the farmer will gain Rp 54 of profit.The
conclusion of this research is the effectiveness of using agri-inputs and managing
the farm efficiently would reduce the farming risks.
