Abstract

The research’s aim was to measure the effect of book-tax differencesto
profit improvement. It was a quantitative research that used secondary data as
financial statement of registered manufacture company at Indonesian Stock
Exchange in 2012-2014. Sample selection was by purposive sampling, which was
collected from observation for 34 companies and tested by double linear
regression technique. The research can be concluded that permanent difference
has no positive effect on profit improvemet. Temporary difference has positive
effect on profit improvement.
