Abstract

This research aimed to figure out the implementation of Indonesian
Communication and Information Minister Regulation No. 19/ 2014 on the
Handling Of Internet Sites Contained Negative Content in the case of blocking of
22 Islamic media sites considered spreading radicalism. Another objective was to
find out the consideration of directorate general of information and comunication
on the blocking of sites that spread radicalism.
The approach used in this study was normative juridical approach. By such
approach, it was attempted to describe how the Indonesian Communication and
Information Minister Regulation No. 19/ 2014 on the Handling Of Internet Sites
Contained Negative Content was implemented.
Based on the analysis, it was found that the sites blocking conducted by
ministry of comunication and information was not accordance with the procedure
outline in Indonesia Communication and Information Minister Regulation No. 19/
2014 on the Handling Of Internet Sites Contained Negative Content. It was the
report from National Counter Terrorism Agency (BNPT) that was taken into
consideration.
