Abstract

This study entitled "Use of Standard Indonesian Vocabulary Formal in
Oral Variety on PKN, Science, and Social Science Teachers in Teaching and
Learning at SMP Negeri 1 Karanganyar Purbalingga".
This study aims to determine the use of standard vocabulary of Indonesian variety
of formal spoken to the teacher in teaching and learning in SMP Negeri 1
Karanganyar Purbalingga Academic Year 2010-2011 at the time of teaching.
Subjects in this study are teachers of SMP Negeri 1 Karanganyar Purbalingga
Academic Year 2010-2011, which consists of 3 persons including PKN, Social
and Science Teachers of SMP Negeri 1 Karanganyar. The benefit of this research
is to provide an input for teachers of Indonesian vocabulary formal oral variety, so
the language used by teachers in teaching time can be good and true. Collecting
data in this study uses data that is formal oral language teacher at the time of
teaching and learning process conducted in the classroom related to Standard
Indonesian vocabulary. Methods of data collection in this study are the authors
listen to and record method, in this method the author refer to the recording
technique. Then note the technique performed after the recording is implemented
and on record at the time of the data that immediately followed by classification.
This record activities carried on during the learning process took place with a time
for 40 minutes. With the classification of activities that will make it easier to
distinguish words which are not raw materials and words spoken by the three
teachers during the learning process in classroom. From the research, the authors
make a list of said criteria data and said non-standard materials collected from the
three teachers as objects of research in the study. In the calculations founds in the
whole 917 words. Standard word count 693 words and not the raw number of
words 224 words. The tally can be seen that the use of standard vocabulary of
Indonesian variety in formal spoken to the teacher in teaching and learning in
SMP Negeri 1 Karanganyar Purbalingga have sufficient criteria which reached
75%.
