Abstract

This research entitled “Analysis of Cohesion Procedural Discourse in Unilever Products” aimed to describe the cohesion markers contained in procedural discourse on unilever products. This research is a qualitative description of the data sources contained discourse on Unilever products. The research process was conducted in three stages, namely the stage of providing data, data analysis stage and the stage of the supply data. In this stage of the supply of data, data retrieved from the study of existing procedural discourse on Unilever products. In this stage of data analysis, the researchers used agih method with basic techniques for Share Elements Direct and advanced engineering that vanished techniques, inline techniques, re-engineering and change techniques used to analyze the data. The technique used to insert elements inserts certain vanished the sentence before or after. Techniques used to repeat the re-lingual element unit concerned. Dressing techniques are used to replace certain elements of the "elements" certain others. Followed by a stage presentation of the data, the data is presented using informal and formal presentation. Based on the results of data analysis it was concluded that the grammatical cohesion found in this study are reference, substitution, ellipsis and conjunction that includes coordination and subordinating conjunctions (conjunctions of time, the terms and conjunctions conjunctions way). Lexical cohesion found in this researches that repetition (epizeuksis, anaphora, and mesodiplosisi) and hyponym.
