Dagusibu (Get, Use, Save, Remove) is a program initiated by Indonesian
Pharmacist Association because there are many problems associated with drug use
in the community. Based on the survey results, there are people who get the drug
outside the pharmacy services facility. Irrational use of drugs in an attempt for
self-medication still going on in the community. In addition, many people have
not been right in storing and disposing the drugs. The purpose of this study is to
determine whether there is an increase in mothers 'knowledge of Dagusibu after
education in several villages in Banyumas and to determine which education
method is most effective to improve mothers' knowledge of Dagusibu in several
villages in Banyumas. The method uses quasi-experimental design with nonequivalent
control group pretest posttest design. The statistical results from
Wilcoxon test show an increase in mother’s knowledge about Dagusibu with
CBIA method and Snowball Throwing and the significance value of CBIA group
is 0.000 (P <0.05) and Snowball Throwing group is 0.000 (p <0.05). Comparing
the effectiveness of educational from CBIA methods and Snowball Throwing uses
Mann-Whitney test and obtained significance value is 0833 (p> 0.05), which
shows that both methods have the same effectiveness in improving mothers'
knowledge of Dagusibu in several villages in Banyumas.
