Abstract
This research was titled An Analysis of Single Sentence Patterns in Text books Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia untuk SMA Published by Yudhishthira 2011. It aimed to describe single sentence pattern including its functions, category and role.
It was a descriptive qualitative research. The data was single sentence on the text book of Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia published by Yudhisthira 2011 for tenth, elevent, and twelfth grade students of senior high school of the first and second semester. This research consisted three phases including data provision, data analysis, and presentation of data analysis risult. The researcher used markah reading method by using noting technique for data provision. The used agih with its basic technique named Bagi Unsur Langsung (BUL) method for data analysis and its advanced technique was enlarging and changing technique. Presentation of the results of data analysis with an informal presentation method.
After conducting the analysis on text book, it could be concluded: 1 Pattern-sentence fungtor on the book includin: (a) SP: 1 record (1.4%). (b) SPO: Data 13 (18.3%). (c) SP-Pel: Data 23 (32.3%). (d) S-Ket-P: 1 record (1.4%). (e) SP-Ket: 7 data (9.8%). (f) SPO-Pel: 1 record (1.4%). (g) SPO-Note: Data 4 (5.6%). (h) S ket-P-Pel-Ket: 1 record (1.4%). (i) SP-Pel-Ket: 1 record (1.4%). (j)-SPO-Ket Ket: 1 record (1.4 %). (k) Ket-SP-Pel: 5 Data (7.04%). (l) Ket-SP-Pel-Ket: 1 record (1.4%). (m)-spo Note: 7 data (9.8%), (n) S-Ket-PO: 3 Data (4.2%). (o)-SP-Ket Ket: 1 Data (1,4).
