Abstract

ability of pegagan powder as disintegrant of paracetamol tablet and to
know the influence of the difference of pegagan powder concentration to the
physical characteristic of paracetamol tablet.
Paracetamol tablet is formulated in there formula different with
concentration of pegagan powder as disintegrant is 5%; 7,5% and 10 %.
Paracetamol tablet made by wet granulation method. Granules is examined the
speed of flowing and the paracetamol tablet is examined the physical granules and
tablet is analyzed statistically anava in one direction.
The result of this research showed that pegagan powder was not able to be
used disintegrant because the disintegration time of tablet is longer than fifteen
minute that does not fulfill requirements appropriate disintegration time. The
greater concentration of pegagan powder decreasing the tablet hardness, friability
progessi ucly increasing and the faster of disintegration time tablet.
