Abstract
Hotspot merupakan salah satu bentuk pemanfaatan teknologi Wireless pada lokasi publik seperti di area kampus Universitas Muhammadiyah Purwokerto. Universitas Muhammadiyah Purwokerto (UMP) merupakan salah satu yang menggunakan teknologi hotspot untuk dinikmati segenap civitas akademika. Untuk mengetahui keefektifan mahasiswa dalam penggunaan hotspot, maka dilakukan penelitian seberapa besar hubungan/korelasi antara pemanfaatan hotspot terhadap prestasi mahasiswa yang menggunakan metode korelasi Parsial dan bivariate. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa pemanfaatan hotspot terhadap prestasi belajar memiliki nilai r sebesar 0,097 dan signifikansi sebesar 0,763 lebih besar dari 0,05 atau 0,763 > 0,05. Ho diterima, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa tidak ada korelasi secara signifikan, yang artinya bahwa ada korelasi antara pemanfaatan hotspot terhadap prestasi belajar mahasiswa Universitas Muhammadiyah Purwokerto meskipun kecil sebesar 0,097.
