MUZAYYANATUL UMAMI, Evaluation Antibiotics Using on the ATC/DDD
(Anatomical Therapeutic Chemical/Defined Daily Dose) and Criteria Gyssens of
Caesarean Section Patients in Hospital of Banyumas.

Introduction : Preferences caesarean section of birth increased in some countries.
Delivery by caesarean section choice increased to become the worlds health
problems. Special handling is used in a caesarean section to avoid the risk of
infection, provision of prophylactic antibiotics either pre and post surgical.
Object : Calculating the quantity antibiotic using in patients caesarean section
based ATC system/DDD while flow charts Gyssens I used to evaluate quality of
the use of antibiotics.
Method : This study used a descriptive observational study design with
retrospective data collection technique.
Result : Cefotaxime antibiotic prophylaxis is the most widely used, quantity of
antibiotic therapy of 50.68 DDD/100 patients per day, the quality of the use of
prophylactic antibiotics according doctors and pharmacists including 0 category
as much 95.53% and 2.47% including IVA category. Base on this research that
100% is IVA categorized. According therapeutic and pharmacists that 97.48% in
the 0 category and 2.52% in the IVA category, while in this research that 13.21%
is 0 categorized, 66.67% in the V category and 20:12% in the IV category.
Conclusion : Doctors have been selective in prescribing antibiotic, quality using
of antibiotic prophylaxis and therapy is still not expected. According doctors and
pharmacists that 97.48% quality therapeutic use of antibiotics in 0 category while
in this research as the number 13:21%.
