Abstract

The Hierarchy of Needs has five stages in the human motivation process. This study aims to analyze the hierarchy of needs using Abraham Maslow’s hierarchy of needs theory, which focuses on Moana, the main character in the Movie Moana (2016). The researcher used an observation method that concentrated on the Movie Moana because it aims to provide an in-depth analysis of the hierarchy of needs in the main character, Moana.
The results of this study proved that Moana had succeeded in fulfilling all of the needs arranged as a hierarchy of needs according to Abraham Maslow’s theory, including physiological needs, safety needs, love and belongingness needs, self-esteem needs, and self-actualization needs.
