Based on data from the lung poly Cilacap General Hospital with suspected
multidrugs resistance tuberculosis (MDRTB) criteria drop out in January to
December 2014 is as much as 23.26%. This shows that the dropout rate in Cilacap
district has not reached the national targets (<10%). So the problem of this research
was to determine whether patients with criteria of drop outs in the district cilacap
showed resistance to antibiotics rifampicin. The aim of this study is to determine how
many MDR-TB incidence in patients drop out of pulmonary tuberculosis in the
district of Cilacap. This research is a descriptive study with cross sectional design
and data collection conducted a retrospective approach. Sekunder data collected from
medical record management sectionManagement of Drug Resistant Tuberculosis(PMDT)
in Cilacap District Hospital with a span of January 2014- December 2014. The
respondents in this study are patients with suspected pulmonary tuberculosis MDRTB
criteria or negligent treatment dropout who is a citizen of Cilacap district and
treatment or refer to hospitals in Cilacap, amounting to 9 people. Based on the
sensitivity and resistance to the antibiotic rifampicin Mycobacterium tuberculosis
using the GeneXpert there are 8 people (88.89%) were sensitive, and 1 person (11,
11%) were resistant to rifampicin. The conclusion from this study that the suspected
MDRTB drop out criteria can lead to a resistance to the antibiotic rifampicin.
