Abstract

The purpose of this study was to investigate students' perceptions of the use of visual
media during face-to-face learning and to find out the contribution of visual media in
English students' learning process. The subjects of this study were sixth semester
students of English Language Study Program. The method used in this research was
descriptive analysis by using two instruments in collecting the data consisting of
questionnaire and interview. This research consists of two indicators, which were
students' perceptions of the use of visual media during face-to-face learning and the
contribution of visual media. Based on these results, it could be concluded that students'
perceptions of the use of visual media during face-to-face learning were positive,
reaching 76.22%. In addition, the contribution of visual media in the learning process
reached 72.69% which shows that visual media has a positive contribution to the
learning process and students' abilities.
