This study was carried out in order to assess the user interface (UI) features of the website sim-bka.ump.ac.id, which is run by Universitas Muhammadiyah Purwokerto's Student Affairs and Alumni Bureau (BKA UMP). Preliminary results showed that the website's design was less appealing and less user-friendly, which had a negative impact on its effectiveness and efficiency and prompted the investigation. Thus, it was decided that a usability analysis was required. In order to uncover important needs and issues, this study put users at the centre of the analytical process using the User-centred Design (UCD) approach. Using the System Usability Scale (SUS) approach, 397 people participated in the website's initial usability testing. According to the acceptability scale, the results showed an average SUS score of 48.46%, which is in the "not acceptable" category. The system received a level F rating on the grade scale and
was classified as "poor" on the adjective rating scale. Following analysis and redesign efforts, a recommended design was created in the form of a prototype, addressing the findings from the initial analysis. The evaluation of the recommended design demonstrated significant improvements. According to the Net Promoter Score (NPS), the average SUS score rose to 83.42%, which is classified as "acceptable." It received an adjective rating of "excellent" and a grade scale rating of level A.This research is expected to provide a design solution that enhances usability and user satisfaction, as well as serve as a reference for BKA UMP in optimizing the services offered by the sim-bka.ump.ac.id website.
