This research aims to describe the types of deixis used in the 'Debate During Lunch' segment of Mata Najwa uploaded on Najwa Shihab's YouTube channel. The study employs a descriptive qualitative research method. The data for this research consists of deictic expressions used by the host, Najwa Shihab, and guest speakers in the 'Debate During Lunch' episode uploaded to YouTube on November 2, 2023. The data collection method includes the observation technique, with the basic technique of recording (downloading the video) followed by a non-participatory observation technique (SBLC). Data analysis was conducted using two methods. The first is the distributional method, employing the basic Immediate Constituent Analysis (BUL) technique, followed by a substitution technique. The second method is the referential matching method, with the basic Determining Element Sorting (PUP) technique and the extended Comparing and Equating Technique (HBS). The presentation of the data analysis results is done through informal presentation methods.

The findings indicate that five types of deixis were identified in the 'Debate During Lunch' segment. These include: Person deixis, divided into three categories: 77 occurrences of singular first-person deixis, 110 of plural first- person deixis, 56 of singular second-person deixis, 47 of singular third-person deixis, and 5 of plural third-person deixis. Temporal deixis, divided into 24 instances of present deixis, 15 of future deixis, and 52 of past deixis. Spatial deixis, with 30 occurrences. Discourse deixis, with 215 occurrences. Social deixis, with 5 occurrences. No occurrences of plural second-person deixis were found in the data.
