Abstract
The aim of education is not just to educate the nation's life in the context of
science, but education must also be equipped with spiritual intelligence, where spiritual
intelligence itself becomes a basic foundation in carrying out intellectual and emotional
intelligence. Spiritual intelligence itself can be formed through habituation. One
example of a madrasa that seeks to develop students' spiritual intelligence is MI
Muhammadiyah Cindaga which has created a habituation program through dhuha and
tartili prayers. This research aims to determine (1) the process of forming spiritual
intelligence, (2) models of intelligence formation, (3) supporting and inhibiting factors.
This research uses qualitative research with a field approach. The research
subjects were the school principal, PJ praying Dhuha, PJ tartili, parents of students, and
students of MI Muhammadiyah Cindaga. In the data collection process using
observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis techniques use data reduction,
data presentation and drawing conclusions.
The results of the research show that (1) The process of spiritual intelligence
consists of students leaving early to instill the value of discipline, students making their
own prayer rows to instill independent values, participating in dhuha prayer activities in
congregation to instill the value of monotheism to Allah SWT, reading prayers after
prayer to instill the value of faith in Allah SWT, and the process of spiritual intelligence
through tartili consists of students reading prayers to instill the value of faith, reading
volume books to instill the value of faith, writing short letters with their meanings to
instill the value of monotheism, memorizing by listening to each other in order to instill
the value of respecting each other, and passing on memorization in turn to instill the
value of queuing culture. (2) The model for forming spiritual intelligence is a direct
learning model for Dhuha prayer activities and an individual or private learning model
for tartili activities. (3) Supporting and inhibiting factors for spiritual intelligence are as
follows: supporting factors for dhuha prayer are student obedience factors, student
parent compliance factors, regulatory factors, and support factors from friends while
supporting factors for tartili are student self-awareness factors, factors for procurement
of bound books. The inhibiting factor for the spiritual intelligence of Duha prayer is the
lack of activity facilities such as prayer rooms and places for ablution, for the inhibiting
factor for tartili spiritual intelligence is the lack of special tartili teachers.
