Abstract
This study aims to assess the profile of farmers benefiting from the Climate Smart
Agriculture (CSA) program, examine the climate change perceptions of members of the Sri
Rahayu Farmers Group in Kembangan Village, Bukateja District, identify the supporting and
hindering factors of the CSA program, and evaluate the effectivenessof the CSA program in
this group. The research employed a descriptive case study approach with both qualitative
and quantitative methods, utilizing Likert scales and interval scores. The results indicate that
most farmers benefiting from the CSA program are elderly men (aged over 51 years) with low
education levels. They primarily cultivate rice, have over 21 years of farming experience, and
farming is their main occupation without side jobs.
Regarding climate change perception, most Sri Rahayu Farmers Group members are
aware of climate change, with information mainly obtained from agricultural extension
workers (PPL). All farmers have noticed climate changes, primarily experiencing increased
temperatures. Moreover, the supporting factors found include internaland external factors.
The internal factor covers the farmers' awareness of the importance of the CSA program. In
contrast, the external factors include clear communication from agricultural extension
workers and the program'scontribution to increasing agricultural production. Similarly, the
hindering factors consist of internal and external factors. The internal challenge stems
mainly from the low education levels of the farmers. On the other hand, theexternal challenge
is that many farmers do not attend meetings. The effectiveness of the CSA program was
measured using three indicators: program success, target success, and satisfaction with the
program. The total score was 1,437, placing it in the "very effective" category.
